December 2025

Well, here we are at the last month of the year.  December was filled with basketball, family time, and Christmas festivities.

December 1st:  When the basketball team travels to away games, they travel in style.

December 5th:  I took the day off from work to chaperone a field trip with Emma's medical terminology class.  We went up to Weber State in Odgen.  We got a tour of the campus and then we got to visit the cadaver lab!  It was so fascinating.  We couldn't have our phones out (for obvious reasons) but we got to hold human brains, lungs, and hearts.  We also got to see 2 cadavers.

That night, the girls were in for a treat.  We met Uncle Jim at the library for a showing of Frozen.  This is not the Disney Frozen, but the Frozen movie that premiered at Sundance about 15 years ago.

December 9th: Tonight was Abigail's holiday concert at the Eccles Center.

December 12th:  Emma has 2 basketball games per week.  Tonight, they were playing down in Salt Lake City at Cottonwood High School.

December 13th:  Tonight was the annual fondue party!

December 18th:  Abigail has soccer practice here and there throughout the winter.

December 20th:  The girls and I volunteered about 2 hours to put holiday meals together and then we delivered 11 meals to Heber.

That night, we went to ZooLights at the Hogle Zoo.

December 24th:  Neena came back to Park City for Christmas this year.  We went to the Whitney's house for our annual Christmas Eve festivities.  For the past 4 years, each Christmas Eve has been a theme.  This year the them was game show.  Emma made the dessert.  It was so much fun!

December 25th:  Merry Christmas!  This was my first ever brown Christmas.  So sad.

Each year, we get the girls a blog book from the previous year.  They love looking through them.

Our Christmas dinner tradition--make your own (Christmas-themed) pizzas.

December 26th:  We love playing Mexican Train!

December 29th:  Andy and I went to Bonsai Bai Me where we planted, trimmed, and decorated our own bonsai trees!  It was so much fun!

December 30th:  Emma loves to cook!  Tonight she made us delicious salmon bowls (with salmon from Alaska, thanks to Uncle Ben).

December 31st:  Happy New Year's Eve!  After watching the Utes beat Nebraska in the Las Vegas Bowl, we did our annual NYE walk on the Moose Trail.
