We're Still Here!

It would be so easy to forget about the blog.  It's just one more thing.  But I can't.  This little blog of mine has been with us since we lived in Alaska.  It's a photo album and memory keeper for us and the girls.  (Each year we print out the previous year's blog posts and give them to the girls as Christmas gifts.) I may not be as prompt in keeping it updated, but we sure love looking back at it as a family.

With that said, I have quite a bit to fill you in on.  Enjoy!

The beginning of September was exciting at the Tullis house!!  Out with the old and in with the new (siding, that is).

old...

It looks better already!

1st grade has been studying frogs

It was a beautiful day for the women's frisbee golf tournament up in Brighton.  I took 2nd place...again.

What a fun group of ladies!!!

Abby loves playing "Hat That Cat" at the cabin...again...and again...and again...  She beats me every. single. time.

We LOVE spending time up in Brighton, even if it gets a little cold.  The men's frisbee golf tournament was held the next weekend and it was chilly.

Card games is becoming a regular activity in our household.

We went to the last Park Silly Market and then stopped at the park for lunch and some play time.

Soccer has come to an end.  We think Abigail has found her sport.  She is quite the little soccer player.  This is the whole group of 1st grade girls from our school who played soccer this fall.  I have every kiddo in my class (except Abigail, of course).

Soccer in the mountains can get a tad bit chilly at the end of the season.

When your 6-year old gets a hold of your camera...

Andy and I got out for one of our favorite fall hikes around Park City.

pumpkin pillow making at school

A friend of ours has a barn full of animals and one of their pigs just had piglets.  We stopped by to see the little cuties one morning.

Birthday parties at a trampoline park = never-ending fun.

family hike in the beautiful fall colors

Each year, our school holds a book character pumpkin contest.  Abigail was quite proud of her Piggie.

Each October, we have a fall break.  This year, we ventured over to Vernal, Utah and just scratched the surface of all that area has to offer.  We started at Dinosaur National Monument. (With Emma being in 4th grade, she gets a free national parks pass from September 2019 to August 2020.  We are going to take full advantage of that!)

See all of the dinosaur fossils was absolutely amazing!  We spent a good chunk of time in the quarry.

All of the kids in our group got their Junior Ranger badge!

Our camp was right next to a variety of bike trails so that afternoon we all (11 people total) went on a bike ride.

The next day, we went to McConkie Ranch and saw some of the most spectacular petroglyphs I have ever seen.

Abigail insisted on bringing these gigantic tumbleweeds back to our camp.

Remote control cars in the desert are so much fun!

We rented this awesome trailer for our final camping trip of the season.  It was just what we needed.

Bocce ball in the desert can be quite challenging.

And...this is what we came home to...Fortunately, a lot has already melted.  I am just not ready for winter quite yet.
