Together Again

With Ben moving from Alaska down to Salt Lake City, Cooper and Sarah can see each other again!! After living together for 3 years in Anchorage and then being separated when we moved to Utah, we weren't sure if, or when, they'd be together again. The following pictures are of their first meeting in over 2 years. Cooper acted like a love-struck teenager and Sarah was just more interested in the smells.

Father's Day 2010

What a wonderful Father's Day! After turning my ankle on one of our outside stairs (going to get the paper for Andy), I managed to make my way to the kitchen to cook up a delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Next, we ventured down to Main Street for the Park Silly Market. We picked up some fresh bread, a cantaloupe, an avocado, some ears of corn and a container of raspberries. Yummy! After some lunch and Emma's afternoon nap, it was off to go bowling with Jim, Robin, Claire, Grace and Abbie. I think I bowled better than ever. I got a 141 in our first game! Andy got a 156! I think Andy had an amazing 1st Father's Day.

Emma's first time at a bowling alley...

This bowling alley, Jupiter Bowl, is THE nicest bowling alley I have ever seen!!!

Great-grandma Abbie didn't bowl so she kept Emma entertained (and fed).

Mom and Dad's Day Out

Last Wednesday, with Emma at grandpa and grandma's house, Andy and I spent a few hours riding roller coasters and other crazy rides, people watching, and eating good ol' fair food. We went to Lagoon, a place I had never been to before.

3 Months Old

Emma is now 1/4 of a year old! My, how fast time is flying by.

It took about 10 shots to get a good photo. Here are a few of them...

A Welcomed Visitor

This was the third time we've had a moose in our yard. We have about .7 acre and it's all wooded so it can be some fun stomping ground for them. They are not nearly as big as they are in Alaska, though.

Yes, We Still Have Cooper

I feel like I have been neglecting Cooper on the blog lately. I guess that's not hard to do when you have a little baby to talk about. My friend, Katie, and I went for a hike with our dogs. Cooper was so excited when he found some snow to eat and play in.

It's Never Too Early

Well, Emma is on her way to saving-so she can take care of her parents one day. :) Just kidding, Emma. You've got a good start to your college education. We also got her first library card. It's never too early to start saving money and checking out those books.

Emma's first library card...

You should have seen the look on her face after she took it out of her mouth.

holding her savings account book and first deposit slip

Now, if we could just find the keys to the safe so we can deposit the rest of her money!

Hold Your Head Up High

It's amazing how strong little Emma is getting these days. When she is on her tummy, she wants so badly to move somewhere. She gets so frustrated when she doesn't go anywhere--too cute!

She kind of looks like she's trying to do the worm...

Brighton

It was an absolutely beautiful summer day so we decided to take a drive to Brighton to see how the cabin looked. With the late-season snow we got this year, Andy and I were both expecting the snow to be much higher than it actually was. We also took Emma for a little hike around Silver Lake.

Memorial Day BBQ

We went to Uncle Jim and Aunt Robin's house for a Memorial Day BBQ. Those Whitneys always have the most scrumptious food!
