Our Halloween festivities started on Friday at school and didn't end until early this evening. Emma's daycare came to our school's parade. It was so much fun to have her there! We walked the parade with my class. On Saturday we went down to Grandma and Grandpa's for some delicious chili. Unfortunately, it was raining so they didn't get any trick-or-treaters. (Much of Salt Lake went trick-or-treating on Saturday night, due to Halloween being on a Sunday.) Today, the actual day of Halloween, we went to Main Street for the annual Howl-o-Ween parade. What a hoot to watch all of the dogs dressed up. Cooper is too big for any store-bought costume so we just dress him as a sports fan, sporting one of Andy's t-shirts.
We are watching Ben's dog, Sarah, while he's up on the Slope. She participated in the festivities, too.
Our friends, Mindy and Steve, dressed as a s'more and their dog was the campfire. Too cute!
Well, it didn't stick, but we had gotten about 6-8 inches of snow in the last week. On that first snowfall, we had to test our Emma's snowsuit. The dogs love frolicking in the snow, as well.
It was that time of year again...time for our annual pumpkin carving party. We are saving Emma's costume for Friday's Halloween parade but we had to dress her in something. It's a good thing her pea pod outfit still fits.
Last Saturday, the Badgers had an incredible game and beat Ohio State. We just had to show our excitement by dressing Emma in her Badger cheerleader outfit on Monday. Her teachers loved it!
Coming Soon: Go Chargers! (They seem to need a little umph right now.)
This past Thursday and Friday was our Fall Break so we flew down to San Diego for a few days. Even though the weather wasn't sunny, we still had a great time.
One night for dinner we ate at the Sand Crab where we devoured some delicious seafood.
Emma's favorite part was playing with the (crab) mallet.
On Friday, while Kim and Whitney watched Emma, Andy and I ventured out to San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.
We took Emma to the ocean. We didn't do any swimming this time.
Andy's mom threw a party one night. We got to see a lot of his high school buddies, neighborhood friends, teachers and principals from when they lived in California.
Thursday was Sports Team Day at the daycare. (Wednesday was Crazy Hair Day but, since Emma really doesn't have a lot of hair right now, we couldn't do much on that day.) We have many outfits to choose from, including Wisconsin Badgers, San Diego Chargers and, of course, Green Bay Packers. The Packer outfit fit the best.
We have been married 18 years and enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, and keeping up with Emma's and Abigail's activities. Andy is a Math Interventionist and Jana teaches 1st Grade..
