With just a couple of weeks left before school starts back up, we tried to squeeze in as much as we could into what what left of our summer.
August 3rd: Andy and I went to a String Cheese Incident concert at the Sandy Amphitheater. Due to severe weather, we only got to see half of the show.
Yikes!
August 4th: Emma and her friend, Ella, volunteered at the Arts Festival's bike valet.
August 6th: We continued to work on the deck this summer and Emma found a new passion for sanding.
Later that afternoon, we headed over to Brighton for a baby shower for Jane.
August 9th: It's our 15th Anniversary! Emma went on an awesome bike ride (and paddle) in the Uintas with some friends.Andy and I went on our own ride at the Park City Resort.
While Emma was out riding, Andy and I did our own ride at the Park City Mountain Resort.
August 10th: President Biden came to Park City today and it pretty much shut our town down for a few hours. It was pretty awesome to see (and hear) the entire Presidential entourage from our house.
August 12th-13th: The bike team did a pre-ride of the course for an upcoming race at Beaver Mountain so we decided to bring the trailer and stay for a night of camping at Bear Lake.
It wouldn't be a trip to Garden City/Bear Lake without a stop LaBeau's for a raspberry shake.
August 14th: My dad and his good friend, Gary, came for a short visit. They got to see one of Abigail's soccer games.
August 15th: We spent a few hours up in Brighton.
We had a visitor under our deck.
August 16th: It was a perfect day to spend time at Jordanelle Reservoir.
I think my dad was relaxed.
August 17th: Today was our first day back at work. My sister comes to town to keep the girls occupied during this time. Today she took the girls to the Utah Olympic Park.
August 18th: My sister and the girls ventured down to the aquarium and then stopped at Post Malone's restaurant for lunch.
August 19th: We went to the Barbie movie today! It was such a fun movie!
August 20th: Abigail and my sister are having a Harry Potter book club together. After they finished book 1, they made a Harry Potter themed dinner!
August 21st: Today was the girls' last day of outings with Aunt Tina. Today they got manicures and pedicures before playing mini golf at the resort.
August 22nd: Today was the girls' first day of school--8th grade for Emma and 5th grade for Abigail. Emma is right next door to us!

August 26th: Today was Emma's first team bike race of the season (Beaver Mountain Resort). We rented a house in Garden City/Bear Lake for the weekend. We were lucky to have Kim/Neena and Aunt Tina join us!
Emma's race started at 8:45 a.m. and she has to be there by about 7:15 a.m. Emma and I went early and the rest of the crew joined us later.
We had a minor delay on the way...
We are so proud of this girl!
The house we rented had a pool so Emma cooled off with a little dip (or quick splash) in the pool.
August 28th: If we're not at a bike race then the chances are good that we are at a soccer game.
August 31st: Emma and I wrapped up August by going to the Utah Utes vs. Florida Gators football game in Salt Lake. It was an awesome game!
