Happy Thanksgiving!

With Thanksgiving upon us, I thought there would be no better time to update the blog.  I am so thankful for my family, health, friends, experiences/adventures, and opportunities.  Enjoy!

Both girls are taking tennis lessons right now.  It is hard to get photos of Emma because she is down at the far end.

Our school does book buddies about 1x/month.  It is fun to be able to watch both girls during these types of school activities.  Emma reads with 1st graders.

Abigail has a 4th grade book buddy.

pumpkin carving!

One of the best things about field trips--getting to experience them with Abigail (since I teach 1st grade and she is in 1st grade).

4th grade classes made "cajas para altar" for Dia De Los Muertos.  Emma made a box for her great-grandma Abbie.

Halloween 2019!

Abigail did not take her hood off all day.

She even ate lunch like that.

The front office dressed as Alice in Wonderland.  Andy was the Mad Hatter.

The 1st grade team dressed up as Hungry Hippos.

After school, we took the city bus to Main Street for some trick or treating.

Chef Emma made cheeseburger totchos for dinner one night.

4th grade had a poetry cafe one day.  Emma wrote a poem called "Winter Wonderland."

November 9th was a pretty exciting day!  Our whole family went to see the Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond) at The King's English bookshop in Salt Lake.  When you know one of the owners of the bookshop, you get a pretty good number in line.

Andy's cousin, Anne, greeted Ree and walked her into the bookshop.

She was so kind!

Can you spot the blondie in the middle?

These girls start climbing wherever we go!

Winter is here!

4th grade did square dancing this week.  Parents were invited to join in.  Andy and I took turns dancing with Emma.

Abigail was chosen as one of the Moose of the Month for November.  Talk about proud!

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Don't take the little things for granted.  Be thankful each and every day.
