Winter Break, Week 1

It has been a wonderful winter break, so far, and we still have about 6 days to go!  My sister came to visit and spend Christmas with us here in Park City.  I'm sure she went home exhausted.  Emma and Abigail tend to do that to our guests.  They are busy little girls!

Here is a review of our first week of vacation:

Skiing?  Um, yes, please!  This is Emma's 3rd year of skiing and she is at the point where I have a hard time keeping up with her on the green runs.  She is fearless!

Abigail is a trooper on our family days on the slopes.  Next year, Abigail!

On the Sunday before Christmas, we hosted a Taco Bar to celebrate Christmas with some of Andy's side of the family.

Of course we had to take Aunt Tina to Zoo Lights at the Hogle Zoo.  We timed it just right and were first in line to see Santa!

The next day took us back to the slopes.  I got my sister a ski lesson for Christmas.  It was her 2nd time ever skiing.

While my sister was in her lesson, Andy, Emma, and I hit the slopes.

Andy insisted on taking this picture of a lady wearing her ski goggles upside down.

That night was the Tullis Family Christmas party, which has so many people in attendance that it has to be held at a ward.  (Just to clarify, Andy's dad's side of the family is LDS but his dad chose not to go that route.)

There is always a talent show for the kids.  Emma got up and sang Jingle Bells.

Brighton Ski Resort let you ski for free if you had a Santa suit so Andy and his cousin purchased some very awesome Santa suits to enjoy the mountain for free.  It even came with eyebrow whitener!

Christmas morning:

It wouldn't be Christmas morning without scones and Abbie Fizzes (from the amazing cookbook put together by Andy's cousin, Grace).

Emma made these as gifts this year.  She made a penguin, elephants, deer, koala bear, and snow leopard.

Aunt Whitney gave Emma this beautiful canvas picture from her wedding.

My mom made the girls wings and tutus.

Abigail loves her blocks from Santa.

Emma got me a new headlamp!

Here are just some random photos of more adventurous times in the Tullis household:

*side note:  I am heading up the teacher appreciation committee at the preschool this year.  This was the gift we gave teachers for Christmas.  I was super happy with how they turned out!

My mom got us this gift for Christmas.

Emma and Andy made a fun sledding track in our backyard.

Who would've thought a box and stickers could be so entertaining?

And, of course, we just had to make a trip to Home Depot.
