The weather continues to be cooperative, so Andy and I have been trying to get out as much as we can. We only have 1 more week of school left and then we have the whole summer to play!! On this particular trip, we ventured out on a hike to Table Rock (about 20 minutes south of Anchorage). It offered spectacular views of the Cook Inlet and surrounding mountains. It was a bit windy, though.
On Friday (May 25th) Andy and I leave for Utah. We have a wedding to go to down in Torrey, Utah, and then we plan on spending a couple more nights camping in southern Utah. I haven't been there but I hear it is beautiful! We also plan to spend a few nights up at the cabin in Brighton and, of course, spend time in Salt Lake. We'll be back in Anchorage on June 5th, only to be anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first guests from the lower 48--my mom!!! I am so excited for this summer and all of the great memories that will come with it!

Hi Jana and Andy,
Summer has surely been long awaited by you folks up there...its sounds like a very long and cold winter and you are well deserving of endless days of sun and warmth. Wish I was among the many guests for the summer, but guess I'll just be hanging out here in good old WI. Kacie is getting excited for her trip too, as you might imagine..slow but sure we are getting things together..she got a new camera tonight and PJ's last night...the list is finally getting shorter..I HOPE!!!!
We just had a much needed rain...I talked to Gram and they got over 1 inch in just a short time, some areas got 65mile an hour winds too, but not here, thank goodness.
Well kids, its time to head for bed, sorry I don't write more often, but do the best I can. I think of you both often. Have a wonderful trip..be safe.
Love you lots, Aunt Sandy
