April is one of those months where you just never know what to expect, weather-wise. Skiing comes to an end and it's usually too early to start biking the trails.
April 3rd: This rockstar got "Student of the Month."
April 6th: Andy and Emma had one last ski day with Uncle Jim.
April 9th: Our school had a Science and Art Night. Emma volunteered to help out.
April 12th: Our 5th grade students are pretty lucky to be able to participate in our school's Moose News. Each week, one of the 5th grade classes creates the Moose News, including the lunch menu, weather, jokes, recognizing students and staff and, of course, bloopers.
April 13th-21st: The girls and I flew back to Minnesota and Wisconsin for our Spring Break (while Andy went to Phish shows in Las Vegas).
April 14th: My sister took us to Paisley Park (the recording studio and home of the late musician Prince). For most of the tour, we had to keep our phones locked. It wasn't until the last room where we could take photos.
Afterwards, we made our way to the sculpture garden.
Then we met my mom and Pete and we headed to Wisconsin for the week. The evening came to an end with a little axe throwing at my mom's house.
April 15th: Our main goal for traveling back to the Midwest was to visit my 97-year old grandma. On our way to the National Eagle Center, we stopped by for our first visit.
The girls love my mom's Vanderhall.
April 17th: Today we went to visit my Aunt Sandy.
That evening, we went back to my grandma's for dinner.
April 18th: We met my dad for breakfast.
The weather wasn't the greatest (cold and rainy) but Emma and I managed to get out on a few walks.
That night, we ventured down to the Moose Lodge to play bingo!
Meanwhile, Andy was at a Phish concert at the Sphere in Vegas.
April 19th: Today we headed back to my sister's house in St. Louis Park, MN.
April 20th: It wouldn't be a trip back to the Midwest without a visit to the Mall of America. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos.
April 21st: While waiting to head to the airport, we took a walk to a nearly school and played at their very cool playground.
April 27th: Utah's professional women's hockey team returned! It was just a tad chilly, but we had a great time at one of their games.
April 29th: Abigail was chosen as a "leader of the month" for April. All "leaders of the month" got to have a special lunch with our principal.
After a 4-year gap, we are back at swimming lessons!
April 30th: Abigail got her eyes dilated for the first time. She loved her sunglasses she had to wear.
