Wisconsin and Minnesota!

We have a lot of house projects going on!  To give Andy some time to get some work done, the girls and I flew to the Midwest for a family visit.

The girls have become pretty good on the plane.  I guess it always helps when you start the morning with a chocolate chip muffin at the airport.

Since my sister lives in Minneapolis (which is where we fly to), we stayed with her the first night.  The girls helped with dinner.

With no sales tax on clothing in Minnesota, it was a great place to do some back to school shopping.  A trip to the Mall of America is always a must.

Since my sister had to work during the week, we spent the weekdays in Wisconsin.  My mom took us to a water park one day.

We had some good visits with my grandma, otherwise known as GGB (great grandma Betty).  This was Abby's name for her.

Emma loved helping my mom feed the birds in the morning.

My dad took us out 4-wheeling one day.

It had rained the night before so there were plenty of puddles on the trail.  Emma did not miss one of them!

I mean, who doesn't make eyes out of their tortilla...

We went to a trampoline park.

We went to a local concert in a park.

We might as well get haircuts--one less thing to do before school starts

At 91 years young, my grandma still volunteers at the senior center.  On Fridays, she is in charge of making the popcorn for bingo.  My grandma wanted to girls to help one day.

She also helps with the centerpieces on the tables, and

is in charge of the money for bingo.

Emma's blanket (which used to be Andy's baby blanket) was in need of some serious repairs.  We took advantage of grandma's sewing abilities while we were in Wisconsin.

This pretty much sums up her personality.

We spent the last couple of nights back at my sister's house.

It was a fun trip back to the Midwest but it is always nice to get back home (especially when these two cuties missed their Dad terribly).
