More Pumpkins!

We were not about to pay $20 for a pumpkin last weekend at Wheeler Farm (we did, however, get a small pumpkin with our ticket into the hay maze).  So, yesterday we ventured to another pumpkin patch to find those perfect pumpkins.

There was no snow on the ground.  It wasn't even in the forecast, but Emma was determined to wear her snow boots.

We couldn't pass up 50% off Chacos.  Andy and I each have a couple of pairs so we are just continuing the trend of coat and shoe hoarding with our kids.  She's all set for camping next summer!

Farms and Family Fun!

Phew!  Last week was parent/teacher conference week, but with dual immersion, I had 55 conferences to do.  Exhausting.  I have been doing conferences the past 3 weeks (in between the nights I had classes down at the U.).  We finally finished them this past Tuesday!!!  (And...we are getting another 2nd grade teacher, which means our class sizes will go from 27 and 28 to 18, 18, and 19.  Yay!!!)  Needless to say, Andy and I are both pretty exhausted from conferences.  Luckily, it is Fall Break so we have Thursday and Friday off.  As fun as it would have been to go down to southern Utah and do some camping, we are both content with just staying put and playing catch-up.

Last weekend, we met Grandpa Tom and Grandma Terry at Wheeler Farm.  It was a beautiful fall day!

Apples, Scarecrows, Family Time, and Snow!?

Yep...we got our first snowfall.  This is what we woke up to one morning...

which meant this is how the girls went to school...

Other than the excitement of snow (and Emma asking each day if she can go skiing), we've been trying to spend as much time as we can as a family.  On a side note:  Graduation = May 1, 2014!!!!

pretty content

If we can't find something, we always ask Emma.  She has things hiding everywhere.

Go Badgers!

This is the result of Emma playing "dress up."

Last night, Andy and I went to the wedding of our friend, Kristin.  It was a beautiful night in Big Cottonwood Canyon (although a tad chilly).

Each year, people decorate scarecrows and line them along a trail.  It was a beautiful day for a walk along the trail.

Happy Fall, everyone!

Fall Fun!

I love Fall!  There is just something about the crunching leaves, crisp air, and, of course, football!  I can't say much about the colors of the leaves, because, well, they are just plain ol' dull this year.  I don't know if it was our extreme heat and lack of moisture this past summer or the torrential downpours we've had this month.

It was great to have a normal weekend.  Last weekend, Andy and I both came down with a nasty stomach bug.  Yuck!  Needless to say, we didn't get much of anything done last weekend.  I think it would be safe to say that Emma basically ran the house last weekend.

Andy has taken Emma to 2 Utes games.  She loves them!

Abigail loves bath time!
We went bowling with the whole crew one night.  You haven't seen crazy and chaotic until you've been bowling with 7 kids under the age of 4!

Adam is about 3 months older than Abigail.

Yep...this is how I bowled most of the night.

Abigail must be at our height while we eat dinner; otherwise, she is not a happy camper.

We have tried a few spoonfuls of oatmeal every so often because she has been eyeing us eating with our forks and spoons.  She didn't quite know what to do with it.
We met up with the Phillips Family one night after school.  They used to live here in Park City but moved to Pennsylvania about 2 1/2 years ago.
Adelyn and Abigail are just days apart.

Even though it was only their first time playing together, Dylan and Emma became instant friends.

We've had a visitor with us this past week--Flat Stanley!  He came to us from Wisconsin.

Emma was our photographer...not bad!
Yesterday, we went to Hootenanny, the yearly fundraiser for Mountain Town Music.  MTM puts on a plethora of free concerts throughout the summer.
