Ski Week Fun

It was great having all last week off and being able to spend that time as a family. While Andy was on his ski trip, Emma and I tried to stay busy. We went to a 1st birthday party for Emma's friend, Addison, on Saturday. We went shopping at the outlets on Sunday with my friend, Jen. On Monday, we went to visit grandma and grandpa in Salt Lake. On top of that, we got out for a sled rides (with Cooper, of course) every day. I painted our master bathroom and we played...lots!

Emma loves music! She bobbles her head around whenever there is music playing.

Andy is so proud of his beard. I call it Furry February.

One night, we got together with friends for dinner. It was way past the girls' bedtimes so our friend, Jeff, was trying to put them to sleep. It didn't work.

Andy's Ski Trip

We had this past week off from school. Locals call it Ski Week but I think the district's term for it is Winter Break. Andy left last Friday night for a 4-day ski trip in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with 4 other guys. It sounds like it was quite an experience. It didn't stop snowing the entire time they were there.

11 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that, in just 1 month, Emma will be 1 year old.

It gets more and more challenging to take these photos. The last few months she has tried to eat the sign. Today, she took the sign apart and was quite fascinated by the tape.

We were going for the mini-skirt look today.

What you don't know is that I was dancing around behind Andy (taking the picture) to get Emma to laugh.

All Set for Sundance

The Sundance Film Festival is in town until the end of January. Andy and I did not see any films this year but my friend, Jen, and I did walk around Main Street for a bit last Saturday. It was snowing but I did have Emma dressed in her hat, mittens, Patagonia down jacket with a blanket wrapped around her in her stroller. I have never felt so judged in all my life. I heard comments like "She has a baby out in this weather." "That baby needs to be bundled up." Ugh. Go back to California, people. We live in the mountains here. The kids LOVE the snow...well, most of them anyways.

I thought it would be fun to get Emma ready for Sundance. You see A LOT of black, scarves, high heels, and just interesting outfits in general so I dolled her all up. I guess the only thing she is missing is her sunglasses and high heeled boots. We won't be going there anytime soon!

In a Pickle

Emma got herself "in a pickle" one day...

Christmas in Wisconsin

We traveled back to Wisconsin for Christmas this year. We hadn't been back for the holidays in about 5 years, so it was time to head back for the festivities. Emma had so much fun seeing her aunts, grandma, grandpa, cousins and friends.

playing soccer...always on the move!

We bought my mom snowshoes for Christmas so I had to take her out and show her how it's done.

We took Emma sledding almost every day. Boy, now that's a workout for Andy and me.

Emma Meets Santa

Emma's daycare had their holiday party this afternoon. Santa even joined in for the festivities! I don't think Emma knew quite what to do. She just sort of stared at his beard.

Happy Holidays

Last night was our annual holiday feast with friends.

flirting with Uncle Ben...

Our friends, Julie and Everett, have a daughter about a month older than Emma. It's fun to watch them interact.

After our delicious feast, we decorated sugar cookies.
