I felt like I spent more time in my car than I did at home during September. Whether we were dropping off at soccer, dropping off at biking, picking up at soccer, or picking up at biking, we were all over the place. September was beautiful so I did get out on my bike quite a bit while Emma was at practice. It saves on gas money and I get to enjoy our awesome trail systems.
September 7th: Abby had a soccer game in Francis.
That night, Emma had her Homecoming dance. She went with a group of her friends and had a blast.
September 14th: Emma had a bike race in Mantua. She doesn't race until 2:00 p.m. so it's right in the heat of the afternoon.
Papa and Grandma Terry traveled to Mantua to watch Emma race.
September 16th: It's a home soccer game for Abby.
Later that night, the bike team got to be on a Zoom call with Haley Batten and hear all about her Olympic experience (where she was a silver in mountain biking!). When you want to listen to the Zoom call and you have homework to do, you multitask.
September 17th: In Alaska, we called this "termination dust," meaning summer is coming to an end very soon.
September 20th: Emma and a friend getting in some volunteer hours for National Junior Honor Society. At the end of the fall festival, Emma got to try out the mechanical bull.
September 21st: We had some a gorgeous fall this year. The leaves were incredible. It was a perfect day for Emma and her friends to go on a ride.
That night, Abigail's soccer team got to attend the RSL (professional soccer) game in Salt Lake City. Before the game, they got to go onto the field.
They even made the big screen!
September 27th: We traveled to Beaver City for another bike race. The drive up to our VRBO was crazy gorgeous.
September 28th: It was another hot, dry, and dusty race day.
We've been staying for the podiums (after all races have ended) and Park City got 1st in their Region!
