May 3rd: There has been progress on the snow melting--finally!
May 5th: Neena is back in town so we had a post-birthday celebration for Emma and a pre-birthday celebration for Abigail.
May 9th: With the amount of snow melt/water runoff this spring, it certainly is no surprise that the roads are taking a beating, including some of the trails.
We also celebrated Abigail's 10th birthday!
May 11th: Emma had her last band concert. She decided she does not want to continue with band next year.
May 12th: Look at our visitor! She has 4 eggs she is protecting.
My mom was in town for about a week. She got to see a lot of the girls' activities and she was here for Mother's Day and her 70th birthday.
May 13th: We went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.
May 16th: I took the day off from work to spend the day with my mom for her birthday. We started with manicures and pedicures and then did a little flower shopping at the local nursery. We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Twisted Fern.
May 17th: Andy had surgery on his other hand for his Dupuytren's (when 1 or more fingers becomes permanently fixed in the bent position due to the gradual thickening/tightening of tissue).
May 19th: Our school had a multicultural festival and each class performed a dance. Abigail was in a couple of dances due to a shortage of girls in one class.
Abigail got a pretty cool gift--the Nailed It cookbook written it and signed by the very own Jacques Torres.
May 20th: Today was one of my favorite days of the year--Running with Ed! This year, we dressed up at yetis.
May 24th: One of the benefits of working at our school is the proximity to things around town, including Abigail's 4th grade track meet.
May 25th: Abigail's class did a poetry slam and presented (in Spanish) on a county in Utah.
May 26th: Today is Andy's birthday! It is also the Friday before Memorial Day weekend which means it's the start of the summer camping season!
May 31st: Today was our McPolin talent show. Abigail participated in 2 acts: Frozen (with her specialist class) and a math song with a few students in her class.
