From Then Until Now

Our summer has officially started and we are making the most of our time.  It always amazes me how quickly the summer goes by.  We don't have any big trips planned this summer.  It's a home projects and remodeling kind of summer with side trips here and there.

We had our 2nd Moose on the Loose run on June 1st.  Now that Abigail is 6, she moved up to the Junior Moose category, which is 1.5 miles.  Both girls did amazing!

Our school has a tradition of (most) classes hiking the PC hill, located just a short distance from our school.  On the last few days of school, there can be quite a line of kiddos and parents on the trail.

It's so fun to be at the girls' school so we can watch all of the school events, like Field Day.

We are so proud of Emma!  She and her friend, Bodi, were the emcees for our talent show.  Not only did they introduce all of the acts, but she also showed off some of her Spanish...in front of the entire school and visitors/parents.

last day of 3rd grade (Abby refused to let me take a photo of her last day of kindergarten.)

We have been getting lots of pool time!

Our friend, Ben, has a yearly crawfish boil.  Talk about a lot of food...

  more pool time!

And then this is happening in our house right now.  It's our final stage of replacing paneling with drywall (and better insulation).

I ventured out to Boston for work.  For the past 2 years, I have been working towards becoming our district's Level 2 presenter for Fundations (a tier 1 and tier 2 reading program from Wilson).  My trip to Boston was my final step--the Presenter Training.  There were only 20 of us from around the country!  Here I am with Barbara Wilson.  She wrote the Fundations and Wilson Reading Systems programs.  She and her husband, Ed, are just the nicest people.  We even got a tour of the entire campus.

After my training, I spent the weekend with Andy's sister, Whitney, and her family.

It's not a trip to Boston without a lobster roll!

I had so much fun with these 2 cuties--Kennedy and Stevie.

While I was in Boston, Andy and the girls had adventures of their own.  From soccer camp to tennis camp to swimming to the Deer Valley concert to camping, they stayed quite busy.  Their ultimate adventure was a trip to the sun tunnels and Blue Lake, west of Salt Lake City.
