Week in Review

There has been a whole lot going on this past week.  Last Saturday, I had my first race (5K) of the Park City Trail Series.  It is a series of 4 trail runs (5K, 10K, 15K, and a half marathon).  It's nice to have the first one done so, next time, there won't be quite the pre-race jitters and I will know what to expect.  So...I have been hitting the trails quite a bit lately. I have also been following a half marathon training schedule, full of hill repeats, active recovery/cross-training, easy runs, strides, and tempo runs.  It's kind of nice to mix things up a bit, and not just run each day.  Enough of the chit chat...on to why you are really here...the photos!

And...we're off!

These warm summer days call for a smoothie every so often.

It is that time of year...wellness checks and teeth cleanings.

I was impressed that Abigail let them clean her teeth!

Emma is anxiously awaiting the loss of her first tooth.

We went out and played tennis as a family one day.

Emma is really loving tennis!  This makes her mama very happy.

Abby pretty much just ran around and collected the balls the entire time.  She was loving it!

Then it was on to Francie's 3rd birthday party.

I worked this past week, doing some curriculum mapping, so Andy decided to take the girls out on a daddy/daughters camping trip up to the Uintas.

Andy found an amazing site right next to the river.

The water was cold but that didn't stop these girls from playing in it.

They went to an area called Fairyland and, according to Andy, it was amazing.  It is a huge area of handcrafted fairy homes made out of painted rocks and twigs.

 The girls left their mark...

Pure exhaustion--Even Emma took a nap one day.

It sounds like they had such a fun time!  It makes me even more excited for our next camping adventure.

These girls could probably garden better than I can.

We went to our first movie as a family--Finding Dory.  It was so cute!  This was Abigail's first movie at the theatre and we considered it a success, even with the 4 trips to the restroom.
