Road Trip to Montana

We still have a few weeks before school starts back up and our summer has been full of adventures! We just returned from a 1600-mile roundtrip road trip to Flathead Lake in Montana with Nana Kim. What a fun trip! We went to help celebrate a friend of Andy's family's 60th birthday. And...it was also nice to relax by the lake. Emma met a new friend--Emery. Those girls got along so well together! We can't wait to spend a week on the beach next summer for Nana Kim's 60th birthday!

Let our adventure begin...
fun times in the car

On our way to Flathead Lake, we stayed in Dillon, MT for the first night. We took advantage of the pool.

We made it! Emery had lots of toys for us to play with. Golf was one of the favorites.

Flathead Lake

We watched this eagle swoop into the tree to devour his fish.

We just had to do another crafternoon!

Glacier National Park

The water was just a-gushing!

Avalanche Lake

Emma wanted so badly to go into the water. Now that would have been a cold swim!

It was about a 5-mile hike to Avalanche Lake and back.

on our way up to Logan's Pass

We drove about 26 miles (roundtrip) on this narrow, right-next-to-a-cliff road. The road is called Going to the Sun Road.

There was a mountain goat right next to the road. This lady thought it would be a good idea to take a picture of it from about 5 feet away. I'll let you decide if that was smart or not.

Emma did so well in the car! That was a lot of time spent in her car seat.

Playing can get so exhausting!

We stayed in Idaho Falls on our way home. They had an outdoor swimming pool so we made sure to utilize it. This is Emma's floatable swimsuit from Nana Kim. We call it her muscle suit.

Wheeeeeee...

What an exciting adventure!
