Life at Home

We have enjoyed every minute with little Emma since arriving home from the hospital last Saturday. She is 1 week old today! Andy went back to work on Wednesday so it's just been Emma and me. A majority of our time is spent feeding, changing diapers and sleeping.

Emma has had some tummy time, although she wasn't a huge fan of it.

On Tuesday, we went on our first outing to the pediatrician's office. Emma had lost 1 pound at the hospital (putting her at 6 lbs. 2 oz.) but now weighs 6 lbs. 11 oz. The sweater she is wearing is pretty special. It was Andy's sweater when he was a baby and it was made by Emma's great-great grandma, Fontella, who is no longer with us.

Thanks for the cute bear suit, Natalie!

We got the okay to take Emma out in the Baby Bjorn so we didn't wait long to grab that opportunity. Cooper was very protective on our walk. He would stay right next to Andy's side (with Emma in the Baby Bjorn).

Can't believe she is 1 week already. Do you ever sit back and think about what you really did before you had her. I think that all the time and think...man I had to have been bored.

OMG - the baby bear suit is adorable! Looks like you all are adjusting really well. Isn't being a mom so special?

Jan and Andy,
She is sooooo beautiful...you three make the most wonderful family. You can just see the love glowing from both of you. I'm sure the days seem rather long since Andy went back to work, but summer vacation will be here soon and then the three of you can enjoy several long months together. Hope you are feeling well Jana. Love to you all, Aunt Sandy

Natalie loved seeing her new friend in the bear suit all though Emma did not look very happy. She is such a doll. I loved the picture of Andy with her in the carrier.
Call me when you get a chance I want to hear all about little Emma,

Congratulations to you two! Loved seeing Andy with that tiny baby girl on his chest. I am sure she will be a daddy's girl...all three of mine are totally in love with their daddy. Many blessings and good luck to you and your new little family.

Cara (old friend of Andy's from High School)

What a precious miracle; and she is my Granddaughter. I love her middle name. Not many are named after something as great as a mountain. Can't wait to hug and kiss her on April 17th. P.S. Please post a photo with no hat so we can see her beautiful stawberry-blonde hair. Love to all. Grandma Sherry
