Good Golly!

As March comes to a close (What?!?), I remembered our little blog and how I haven't posted in a while.  I hope this does not become a habit--only posting 1x/month.  Enjoy!

Our school celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday on Friday, March 1st.

I feel like it is a bit of an understatement to say we have gotten a lot of snow this winter...

The girls have been in tennis lessons.  Both girls love it!  (That makes this mama very happy.)

Emma turned 9!

Since her big party was last year, she invited 1 friend to go to a movie and then go bowling.

And, of course, a 9th birthday just wouldn't be the same without a sandwich in the shape of a 9.

We have had a pretty amazing ski season this year! As much as we love skiing, we are pretty excited to get back out camping.

Nana is back in town!

Both girls had the amazing opportunity to perform on the somewhat famous Eccles Theater stage.  The whole school performed songs from "Sound of Music."

Somebody turned 40 this year.  Somebody has an amazing husband and sister who teamed up to have a surprise party for the 40 year old.  (Wink)

We met a bunch of friends (and their kids) at Alta for a beautiful day of spring skiing.

lunch time!

It was a super fun with friends!!

February Fun!

Well, that was fast.  I can't believe there is only 1 more week of February!  I feel like a majority of this month has been spent shoveling, snow blowing, and keeping the sledding track up and running.  As usual, we did manage to fill our free time with adventures. We had the week of President's Day off so that time was nice to get things done around the house and just...relax.

Andy and I saw 2 Sundance Films this year:  "Last Black Man in San Francisco" and "The Report."

It's always fun to listen to the director and hear their perspective on their own film.

Seeing the cast is always a treat, too.

This little girl was chosen as Moose of the Month (from her class) for January!  She was so proud to be up there on the stage.

On Abby's last day of ski lessons, they had a little cookie race.

Baker Emma

Sometimes, when I am out cross country skiing, I just have to stop and take it all in.  We live in a pretty amazing place.

We went to Brighton to do a little skiing with Uncle Ben.

It was a chilly day...

Of course we had to get a picture of Emma next to the Milly lift (since her middle name comes from Mt. Millicent in Brighton).
