Back on the Slopes

While my mom was in town, we got Emma out on the slopes so Grandma could see her in action.
gearing up...

Excited!!!  (On a side note, she wore her ski boots around the house for 2 hours one day.)

The magic carpet wasn't operating yet, so they had to hike up, ski down, hike up, ski down (about 5 times).  It's a good thing it wasn't too long of a run.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We are so thankful that my mom was able to come out for Thanksgiving this year.  She hadn't seen the girls since June so she was amazed at how much they both have grown since then. We hosted Thanksgiving this year.  Thank goodness, Aunt Tina was here a few weeks before Thanksgiving so she and Emma could make the decorations!

The decorations: tissue paper vases and handprint turkeys

In order to accommodate all 18 people, we had to rearrange a bit.  This is, normally, where the couch sits.

Abigail loved the mashed potatoes!

Emma having fun with her cousins, Paia and Castle.
The next morning, it was family reading time!

Yep...we do a lot of reading...books, magazines, food packages, signs on the way to school, you name it...

This is her new thing lately:  grabbing her toes

trying on one of her sister's hats

We had so much fun with Grandma Sherry!!!!  Thanks for coming to visit us!

Randomness...

Our friend, Jeremy, was in town for work one weekend.  Emma loved that extra attention!

We love Sophie!

It's not the easiest thing to clean, but Abigail loves eating bananas from it.

Abigail loves to eat dinner at the table with us.

Sledding Fun!

The snow is here to stay around our neighborhood so we started taking full advantage of the winter wonderland-like conditions.  I think it is safe to say that both girls LOVE taking rides in the sleds.

Fun With Aunt Tina!

My sister was here for a long weekend.  She always has fun stuff planned!  Her and Emma had a fun day together on Friday (while Mom and Dad were at work).

Aunt Tina had some fun Thanksgiving crafts planned.

6 Months Old!

I can't believe it.  I just can't believe our little Abigail is already 6 months old.  She is developing quite the personality, too.   She started sleeping through the night around 10 weeks but, then, around 4 months, she decided to start getting up once or twice in the middle of the night and hasn't turned back again, yet.  Soon, I hope, soon....

One Last Hurrah

Our good friends, the McCormicks (and Emma's very good friend, Olive) are moving to NH in about a week so we had one last get-together last night.  I can't take credit for most of these photos.  The credit must go to Piper and Riley Hastings (1st grade and pre-K).  I must say, they captured some keepers.

Mmmm...pasta

Wheee!

Don't ask.

Ummmm....When I "undressed" Emma before we left, she had 6 pairs of underwear (not including the one around her shoulders) and 3 pairs of pants on.

Good luck with everything, Maggie and family!!!

Olive's cat got quite the attention last night.
