Our February was pretty much consumed by skiing and basketball. Our winter was nothing like last year's crazy amount of snow, but it still made for some great skiing.

February 4th: Andy and Emma did some backcountry skiing to learning about avalanche safety.
February 12th: playing Monopoly Park City
February 14th: Each Valentine's Day, I do something special on the girls' doors. This year I did an acrostic poem.
February 17th: Our last guinea pig, Ruthie, passed away. We buried her in the back yard, right next to her best friend, Patches (who passed away in January). Abby spent a few minutes with her, saying her own good-byes. It was very emotional.
February 19th-21st: During the first part of our winter break, Andy took the girls on a ski trip to a yurt (in the Uintas) with some friends.
February 22nd: Well, we can now say someone in our family has taken a ride down the mountain by sled and snowmobile. We had a family ski day and were up in Jupiter. The snow was deep and a bit heavy. Abby's ankle twisted the wrong way and she couldn't ski on it. She ended up sliding down the rest of the run (double black) on her butt and then Andy carried her to the ski lift where we met a member of the ski patrol. They took her down to the clinic at the bottom of the resort and took some x-rays. Luckily, nothing was broken, but she had to take a couple of weeks off of skiing and basketball.
February 23rd: While Emma and Abby had a chill day at home, Andy and I went for a gorgeous cross country ski in the Uintas.
February 28th: One of the many benefits of having your kiddo at the same school where you work is you get to see all of the artwork on the walls. Abby's Spanish is quite impressive.
