1-Month Check-In

Yikes!  Did school just start or something?!  Is it soccer season?  Tennis season?  Busy season?  It's always busy season around here and it's about to get even busier.  As Andy and I look down the road, we want to have as many "tools" as we can in our "toolbox."  This year, I am adding a tool that has the possibility of opening some doors for me down the road.  I am getting my Wilson Reading Systems Level 1 Certification.  In a nutshell, at the conclusion of this practicum, I will be a certified Wilson trainer.  This practicum requires me to work 1:1 with a student (after school) at least 2x/week, about 60-75 minutes each time.  I will be working with a 4th grader who is significantly below in reading and spelling.  With my Fundations Facilitator Certification I earned last year, adding the WRS Level 1 Certification would allow me to be a district Fundations trainer.  I believe there would also be a trip out to Boston in the summer for the "trainer training."   We'll see what happens...

After I complete this practicum, Andy has talked about going back to school for his administrative degree.  (Don't tell him I told you this, though--wink, wink.)

Okay, now on to why you stopped by:

My sister was here for the 5 days Andy and I had to go back to work before the students started.  They had some fun-filled days!
