Christmas 2017

I can't believe Christmas is over.  There is so much anticipation leading up to it and then...Poof!  It's all over.

Along with Whitney and Kennedy coming to visit, my sister also came to have some pre-Christmas fun.  I think our guests leave pretty exhausted.  We like to entertain Tullis-style (aka - We can't seem to sit still.)

Emma had perfect attendance for the 1st trimester!

A trip to Zoo Lights is always a must!  The lions were particularly active on this evening, which is an added bonus.

We finally got out for our first family ski!  It's so fun to be able to ski as a family.  Abigail is good for about 2 hours and then her little legs get tired.  Hopefully, we will build that endurance by the end of the ski season.

Emma is skiing so well!  If she is not in front of me, she is right on my heels (or skis, I should say).

Andy likes to make a fashion statement when we go out for lunch.  I'm not even sure what to call this...

The girls sent their letters to Santa in our fireplace.

We went out on a Winter Solstice hike.

another ski day--the girls insisted on ending our day with a ride on the magic carpet by themselves

The girls are so into rock climbing that Santa even brought them their own climbing shoes.

Ugh.  This is what happens when a hose on your refrigerator is leaking and drips down into the basement and gets all over your keepsakes from childhood.  Sniff, Sniff.

We had things drying out all over.

drip, drip, drip

Each year at the Tullis Christmas party, there is a talent show.  This year, the girls finally got the courage to sing Jingle Bell Rock.

As we do every year (for about the past 3 years), we ski in our Santa suits on Christmas day.

This is what happens when you take a 4-year old shopping for wrapping paper on the day after Christmas.

Monopoly games have been happening quite frequently lately.

We had an amazing Christmas and we hope you did, as well.  May your 2018 be filled with health, happiness, laughter, and a few welcome surprises along the way. 😉

December Is Upon Us

I don't even really know how to start this post.  I have about 36 days worth of updates so I think I will just get right to it.

There's nothing like breakfast at No Worries before a nice hike.

This is what happens when you clean out the garage attic...

Emma walked her doll up and down the street about 3 times.

Just one of the perks of teaching in Park City: frequent visits from Olympians

I took the girls to Disney on Ice and, of course, Abby wore her Belle dress.

Yay!!  Snow!!

We love our evening walks.

family trip to the movies to see Coco

I can't remember the last time we got our Christmas tree without snow on the ground.

It's easy for all of that snow to melt when the temperature was in the 60's for a few days.

Our staff holiday party was a "winter white" theme.  I've passed over the social committee torch but helped with the planning for the holiday party.

Andy has taken the girls to the climbing gym a couple of times and they LOVE it!

This is about as creative as I have gotten lately.  Emma was part of a book club at school.  They read My Father's Dragon so, of course, I had to make dragon feet for a snack one day.

This is how the girls fell asleep one night...Awww.

Even though I don't have Emma in my class this year, we still get to hang out together on field trips!  Our 2nd grade classes went to see Elf Jr. the Musical at the Egyptian Theater on Main Street last week.

Abby's preschool had their holiday party last week.

Andy's sister, Whitney, and her daughter, Kennedy, came to visit!

We went to the Living Planet Aquarium.

Some days I wish I were a sloth so I would slow down...
