Summer Break Weeks #4 and #5

We started week #4 by spending a couple of nights at the cabin for the 4th of July festivities.  Andy's mom, sister and family, and family from Honduras and Washington were all in town so it was a fun-filled few days of cabin life.

Emma insisted on her Aunt Robin bringing her perfume to sample.

We usually take over the neighboring parking lot with biking, scootering, and frisbee-throwing--kids and adults.

We went on a lovely hike to Lake Solitude.

After a great hike, you should always reward yourself with an ice cream cone.

Brighton is a beautiful place!

I believe they were playing store.

We took Andy's sister and her family to Park City Mountain Resort to ride the alpine slide.  When on the chairlift, we must take a family selfie.

Emma is too tall to go as a passenger so she had to be the driver in her own slide.

It's been really hot here so we decided to beat the heat by getting out on our paddle board.  The reservoirs have been very busy!

Emma LOVES it!

Abby is becoming quite the little fishy!

Week #5 brought more tennis camp for Emma and a soccer camp for Abby.  She was a little shy the first couple of days but had a blast!

Summer Break Week #3

During this 3rd week of summer break, my dad came to visit.  We had great weather and fun-filled adventures.

We had another Moose on the Loose race!

The next day we made our first visit of the summer to the Park Silly Sunday Market.

Then we found some relief from the heat.

On shorter runs, Emma likes to bike along with me.

It wouldn't be summer without a family trip to the dentist.

Emma has now lost both of her front teeth.

She even wrote a note to the tooth fairy.

It wouldn't be a visit from my dad if we didn't go to the zoo.

We said good-bye to our trusty ol' CRV last week.  It had been a great 9 years with this car but it was time to upgrade and get something with more space (3rd row seating).

I was very patient and knew just what I wanted and wasn't going to settle for anything less.  With the way we hold on to cars, I knew my next car was going to be with us for a long time.

Here it is!  2015 Honda Pilot Touring.  26,000 miles.  All of the bells and whistles. (I don't think the 3rd row ever had any passengers.)  We LOVE it!!

Summertime in Park City means Wednesday night concerts at Deer Valley.

It was my dad's birthday while he was here so we had some of Andy's family over for a BBQ.

Another family cabin in Brighton celebrated their 100th year!!  We all had matching t-shirts to celebrate the event.
