A Month in the Making...

Well, so much for trying to keep the blog more up-to-date lately.  I'm not off to a great start!  Because of my absence, there just may be a picture overload...

Andy and Abigail deep in conversation

A few weeks ago, we had a ladies night at the cabin.  (It was my first time away from the girls, overnight.)  We had a great time!  We even had a ladies frisbee golf tournament.
The creek was a rushing!

We had some visitors one evening...

Note:  I took this photo from the window.
Andy and I have worked together, in the same schools, for 14 years.  This year, I thought it would be fun to have our school picture taken together.  Dorky or fun?  I choose fun!

Last week was our school's fall festival.

Emma with her very good friend, Hudson (or Huddy, as Emma calls him)

She was trying to get Hudson to dance.  He has got some moves!
I do not watch American Idol, but a student at the Park City High School made it pretty far last season.  Austin Wolfe sang at our fall festival.  What a spectacular singer!

Last week we had parent/teacher conferences, which means it was a LONG week.  Our staff had a BBQ on Friday, after school, to relax for a bit.

Craig, our host for the BBQ, has chickens, cats, a dog, and a trampoline.  Needless to say, all of the kids were entertained!
We tried to gather some eggs from Mrs. Hen, but there were none to be found.
So, instead, Craig had placed eggs around the yard for the kids to find.

Mr. Rooster is not so nice, so he was locked in his cage for the festivities.

Soccer ended this past Saturday.  Emma had such a good time!  It's all about having fun right now!!

team huddle with Coach Brooke

It was a little sunny!

She was so proud of her medal!

And, of course, we had to play on the playground after the game.

 Random cuteness...

Abigail's first time pushing her own cart at the grocery store

Both girls will gather everything they can and put it in any basket, box, or bag they can find!

Just to clarify this photo:  Abigail is the one who grabs Cooper's food bowl and wants to feed him.  We haven't started chores for her yet!

Today we had a birthday party for our good friends' twins.  They turned 3 today and it was a pizza-themed party!  So cute!
Each little munchkin got their own personal pizza to make.

Since Emma didn't want to wear her mustache, Andy decided to make Abigail have a unibrow.
Bouncy house fun...

Long Overdue...

I'm not sure if I have mentioned it, yet, but Andy started graduate school last month.  He is doing the same program that I graduated from and is, so far, really enjoying it.  So...I usually don't make excuses, but that is my excuse for lack of blogging lately.  I am still trying to find that balance of having the girls, making dinner, playing with the girls, nightly baths, getting the girls to bed, keeping the sink from overflowing with dirty dishes, emptying the dishwasher, keeping the dog hair at bay, giving Andy time to get his homework done in a semi-quiet house, exercising, keeping in contact with my family, and maintaining my sanity.  Did I forget anything?  I will get there, eventually.

On to the fun stuff (and the real reason you are visiting our blog)...

We hiked the summit of Summit Park with Nana.

We watch Ben's dog, Sarah, while he is up on the slope.  She likes to cuddle much more than Cooper.

Miner's Day (aka Labor Day) in Park City:  the annual Running of the Balls,

fun at the parade,

on our way to City Park to play games and listen to music

fun at Papa and Grandma Terry's house

Family fun at Wheeler Farm:  farm-fresh breakfast,

petting zoo,

playground fun,

and pony rides.

And, of course, Saturday morning (9:00 a.m.) soccer games...

Soccer Star

We signed Emma up for a week long soccer camp this summer.  She loved it so much (it probably helped that 2 of her very good friends from school were in it, too) she wanted to play this fall again.  Her team's name is the Rainbow Dolphins.  (The girls came up with that one.)

Coming up with a team name...

Getting ready to shake the other teams' hands...
