Wisconsin (June 2011)

Emma and I traveled back to Wisconsin for a week-long trip to visit family and friends. I am so thankful there wasn't much humidity while we were there. Aside from the first couple of days, the weather was quite pleasant. We were busy, as usual...

We stayed with my sister in Minneapolis for the first night. The next day we went to the Children's Museum. What fun!

We stayed plenty busy in Wisconsin, too.
Emma likes to swing, although not as much as going down the slide.

She was intrigued with the bird bath.

Emma helped grandma feed the birds.

We visited with great grandma.

I think we went to about 5 parks while we were back in WI. She loved the slide!

Grandpa Rich turned 60 so we had a surprise birthday party for him. Boy, was he
ever surprised!

Emma found a new toy she loved!

She swept grandma's patio.

She played with the water faucet.

We went to a big game park and saw elk, buffalo, and deer.

We had to say "hi" to the llamas (who live next door to grandma) at least
3 times a day. We were over there by 7:30 each morning.

We fed the llamas.

We made footprints with the water.

We found a baby bird.

Emma got to sit in Great Grandma Betty's highchair. It is the high chair great grandma used.

Swimming Pool Fun

It was a great day to go swimming yesterday. We took Emma to the pool a few times last year and she loved it. This was her first time in the water this summer and it seems as though she still loves the water. We tried to get her to blow bubbles but we weren't having much luck with that yesterday.

Emma loved being thrown up in the air.

Playing at the Park

It has been a busy summer so far. Emma had tons of fun playing at the park one day.

She watched kids flying kites.

She played in the sandbox.

She played in the tunnel.

She went on the swings.

What a fun day at the park!

Kick-Off to Summer 2011

This past Friday, Andy and I finished our 3rd year of teaching in Park City. It's been a busy 3 years but it has all been worth it! To kick-off our summer vacation we went camping down in southern Utah, in the desert. Oh boy, was it ever hot! We spent 2 nights around the San Rafael Swell/Goblin Valley. Emma loved it!

What a helper!

Ahhhh...just chillin'

Emma loved playing in the sand.

going to check out some old mining buildings

We had a visitor!

Our home for 2 nights. We were trying to keep the sun
out of Emma's eyes, since she kept throwing her
hat on the ground.

Um, that shirt is supposed to be white.

Cooper got a little warm.

Emma spent about an hour putting pistachio shells in the bowl,
dumping them out, putting them back into the bowl, etc....

These shoes started out being pink.

Goblin Valley

Cooper's favorite hobby was lizard hunting. He didn't
have much luck.

Playing in the Sand Box

We are so lucky that Uncle Ben's new house has a sandbox (and a tree house--but that's for a little later down the road)! While Ben and crew unloaded the UHaul, Emma and I played in the sandbox.

Sunday Brunch

We went to brunch at our friend's house today. She has horses on her property so Emma loved looking at them. What a beautiful day!
